Wine is an integral part of every catering business. It is vital that every service employee who deals with wine, have comprehensive knowledge of wine to effectively serve wine as well as give good recommendations on the selection and food-wine combinations to customers.

Staff trained in the knowledge about wine and the selling techniques will also help boost sales, having gained the ability to make recommendations and assess customer needs in terms of food-wine combination.

Participants are expected to expand their knowledge in production methods and, to distinguish the aromas of wine, to acquire skills in tasting and grading varieties and further test modern / new serving techniques

Taking into consideration the requirements of European and National legislation, all Food and Beverage establishments are obliged to know and apply all regulations, guidelines and good practices related to Basic Food Hygiene in order to provide safe and quality products. The involvement of food handlers in basic health and food safety training programs is considered essential so they can effectively meet the above requirements and not pose any risk to consumers safety consequently.

The aim of the program is for participants to recognize the importance of Food Hygiene, to know all requirements of legislation and national directives.
